In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Family Guy, its creator Seth MacFarlane took a nostalgic journey, reflecting on the show's enduring success. In an interview with The Wrap, the 50-year-old animator expressed that his adult animated creation is not only "surviving and thriving" but also emphasized that there are no imminent plans for it to "end anytime soon," attributing its longevity to a substantial and dedicated fan base.

MacFarlane, known for his role in Ted, acknowledged the show's sizable audience and described it as a testament to the sustained appetite for the series. Despite a brief cancellation in 2002, Family Guy has remained a consistent favorite among comedy enthusiasts. MacFarlane highlighted the continuous efforts to meet the audience's demand, stating, "So we continue to feed the beast."

Reflecting on the 25th milestone, MacFarlane expressed a sense of astonishment at the show's longevity, stating that it feels somewhat "strange" to him. He humorously remarked, "I’ve just been going at a dead run ever since the show premiered. Between then and now just feels like one really long day to me." MacFarlane, also the co-creator of American Dad, emphasized the continuous momentum that has propelled Family Guy forward.

Addressing the question of his favorite moment from the show, the Logan Lucky star found it challenging to pinpoint a specific instance. MacFarlane explained, "There’s now so much of it that there are episodes that I don’t remember. I go back and I’ll look at a show and I have a vague memory of making it." He went on to highlight the intriguing aspect of revisiting episodes and realizing the passage of time, acknowledging that certain moments, once of utmost importance during their creation, may now be hazy memories amidst the vast catalog of over 400 episodes. MacFarlane humorously reflected, "Who can keep track?"

In essence, MacFarlane's sentiments underscore the enduring success and popularity of Family Guy, a show that has not only weathered the challenges of the entertainment industry but continues to thrive, making a lasting impact on its audience over its 25-year journey.
